The SS President Coolidge wreck dive is genuinely world-famous in dive circles and keeps international money and people cycling through year-round. French colonial history left baguettes, a nakamal culture, and women who are more socially independent than anywhere else on Santo. Coming in with credentials or money reads as status immediately in a province where the main exports are kava and copra.
