Hung Nguyen is the flat agricultural ring south of Vinh that has been partially urbanized without gaining any of the city's energy — it's suburban sprawl over rice paddies without the amenities of either a city or a village. The district borders Vinh but has none of Vinh's university population, bars, or social infrastructure. Everything worth doing in Hung Nguyen is done better in Vinh ten minutes away. No reason to be here.
