That proximity to Hanoi has brought in resort development, weekend villa culture, and a population that includes working-age Vietnamese who commute to Hanoi or run businesses serving Hanoians. The social mix is more diverse than the deeper highland districts, and the influx of Hanoi money means there's actual nightlife infrastructure. Best social environment in the province after the city itself.
