Potter
6.7
High score (8-10)
Potter County markets itself as God's Country for a reason — it's one of the largest roadless wilderness areas in the eastern US and the hunting access is exceptional. If you're a serious big-game hunter or fly fisherman, the quality of access here is unmatched in Pennsylvania.
Mid score (6-8) · Your profile
Potter County is the Pennsylvania Wilds — massive state forests, almost no people, and Coudersport as a county seat with under 2,000 residents. The county was briefly infamous as headquarters of Adelphia Communications before that company's 2002 accounting collapse. Today it's timber, hunting, and snowmobile trails.
Lower score (below 6)
Potter County has no meaningful social infrastructure by any standard measure. Coudersport is a tiny rural town with a courthouse and a few shops. There is no college, no significant employer, no dating market, and no social scene. This is not a place anyone comes to for social reasons.
