Twin Falls is the regional hub of the Magic Valley and the most socially developed city in southern Idaho outside Boise. Chobani's massive yogurt plant brought actual demographic diversity — refugee resettlement from Somalia, Iraq, and other communities made Twin Falls briefly controversial nationally but also genuinely more varied. The Snake River Canyon with Shoshone Falls (taller than Niagara) and the Evel Knievel jump history give the city a self-aware identity. For a southern Idaho county, this is the best option available.

The refugee community has added diversity that's unusual for rural Idaho.
