This county exists primarily to house the gateway community around Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning), the largest infantry training center in the US, and almost everyone here is connected to the military installation. Cusseta is the county seat but it's the base that defines everything. If you're not in the military or contracting for it, there's no social role here — the civilian infrastructure outside the post gate is minimal. Columbus in adjacent Muscogee County is your actual destination.
