Lake Havasu City was designed from scratch as a resort community and built around the relocated London Bridge — it has a genuine party town energy unlike anything else in rural Arizona, and college spring break brings a completely different demographic density for several weeks. Bullhead City sits across the Colorado from Laughlin, Nevada's casino strip, which means casino workers, gamblers, and a transient crowd that's inherently easier to meet than settled residents anywhere. These are real pockets of social activity for a county that otherwise has nothing going on.

Mohave County is very location-dependent — Lake Havasu works in the summer and especially spring, Bullhead City works year-round because of the Laughlin connection, and Kingman is a highway stop with no real scene. The county has enough tourism infrastructure in Havasu to sustain real social activity during the right seasons. But if you're stuck in Kingman or one of the smaller towns, the county might as well not exist socially.

Kingman is the county seat and it's a classic I-40 truck stop town that the interstate effectively killed by routing around downtown — there's nothing there for anyone socially. The rural stretches between Kingman, Havasu, and Bullhead are empty high desert with small communities that haven't grown in decades. Even the good spots in this county (Havasu, Bullhead) have real limitations outside of peak season.
