Borshchiv district borders Moldova and sits above the Dniester canyon — one of the more scenic parts of Podolia, and local women know the area has something real to offer visitors. The canyon area around Shyshkivtsi brings in some Ukrainian domestic tourists which keeps social life slightly more open than deeper inland districts. Foreign men are rare enough that your presence registers immediately.
