Holosiivskyi is the greenest district in Kyiv — the Holosiivskyi National Park covers a huge portion of it, and the combination of forest, Feofaniia park, and the Ukrainian Catholic University campus creates a very different atmosphere than central Kyiv's hustle. It's home to a significant student and academic population, which skews younger and more open to foreign interaction. The southern reaches near Vasylkivska metro have a growing café and restaurant strip that's local-facing without being tourist-priced.
