Derhachivs'kyi
7.9
High score (8-10)
Derhachi sits directly north of Kharkiv city, 15-20km from the Russian border, and has been one of the most consistently shelled suburban areas in all of Ukraine throughout the war. Parts of the raion were briefly held by Russian forces in the opening days of the 2022 invasion before Ukrainian forces pushed back. The residential areas closest to the border remain under artillery threat. Whatever social life existed here has been suspended indefinitely.
Mid score (6-8) · Your profile
Derhachivs'kyi is the northern suburb-and-satellite zone of Kharkiv city, but its proximity to the Russian border — 15-20km at the closest point — has made it one of the most dangerous suburban zones in the war. The town center has been struck repeatedly and the security situation is incompatible with normal civilian activity in the northern portions. It has some bedroom-community character relative to Kharkiv, but you're much better served by the southern suburbs.
Lower score (below 6)
Derhachi is immediately north of Kharkiv city and among the most-shelled suburban areas in Ukraine — the Russian border is 15-20km away and much of this raion has been under intermittent artillery fire throughout the war. Parts of the area were briefly occupied in early 2022. The security situation in the northern portions makes this an unreasonable place for an outsider to be based, and the social opportunity is zero. Avoid entirely.
