Poiana Teiului is a commune in the Bistrița River valley with pleasant surrounding hills and a few guesthouses for mountain tourists. The valley is attractive enough that some travelers stop here on the way further north. But the commune is small, the population rural and traditional, and outside of summer it is very quiet.
