Espinho is a beach town with a functioning casino, which is a combination that actually generates social life in summer in a way most small Portuguese coastal towns don't manage. The Casino de Espinho draws a mix of Porto residents and domestic tourists on weekends, and the beach promenade is genuinely active from June through September. It's close enough to Porto (about 20 minutes by train) that you get the social spill-over from a major city without Porto's prices. A foreign man who presents well has clear opportunities here during the warm months, especially around the casino and beachfront bars.
