Jaworzno sits between Katowice and Kraków — close enough to both that no one uses it as a social destination. The city has a large coal-fired power plant and some light industry but no university, no significant nightlife, and no draw for outsiders. It's historically notable as the site of a brutal Stalinist labor camp that operated after WWII, which tells you something about the weight the place carries. A foreign man here is just passing through.
