The Gumine people have had less sustained outside contact than districts along the highlands highway, which cuts both ways — less wariness of outsiders if you come correctly, but harder to navigate without local backing. Coffee is the main cash crop and the seasonal income creates some economic openness. This only works if you arrive with institutional affiliation and someone vouching for you.
