Padre Burgos is the closest thing Southern Leyte has to a dive destination — it sits near the southern tip of the island with access to the reefs around Limasawa and has a handful of small resorts and dive shops that attract a trickle of domestic and international divers. That diving infrastructure means the town has more experience with outside visitors than anywhere else in the province outside Maasin City, and the resort and dive shop staff are accustomed to dealing with foreigners.
