Carranglan is one of the more geographically isolated municipalities in Nueva Ecija, tucked against the Sierra Madre and Caraballo mountains along the Maharlika Highway corridor toward Nueva Vizcaya. Its isolation means very little outside male competition has ever landed here, and the Igorot and lowland Christian communities that mix in the area give it a culturally distinct character compared to typical Central Luzon towns.
