Oquitoa
8.3
High score (8-10) · Your profile
Oquitoa is one of Mexico's smallest municipalities by population — under 500 people — in the Altar Valley region. The Jesuit mission here (Misión San Antonio de Oquitoa) is one of the better-preserved in Sonora and draws occasional heritage tourists. The novelty of a foreigner here is absolute.
Mid score (6-8)
A village, not a town. Social interaction is with the whole community by default. Warm, genuine, and completely without social infrastructure.
Lower score (below 6)
Not a social destination by any reasonable measure.
