Cuautitlán (the original, distinct from Izcalli) has a colonial heritage — it was a Franciscan evangelization center in the 16th century and the ex-convent of San Buenaventura is still standing. But contemporary Cuautitlán is a working-class and industrial municipality in the northwest corridor, and the colonial history hasn't translated into a tourist or social economy. For a foreign man, the infrastructure is sufficient but the social scene is limited.
