If you're here in May during the tea festival the energy picks up noticeably and the plantation draws a mix of domestic tourists including younger women from Gwangju and beyond. Stay at one of the guesthouses near Daehan Dawon and you'll meet people passing through — just don't expect Boseong itself to have a social scene after 6pm.
