Yongin has Everland — Korea's largest theme park — which generates enormous visitor traffic, and the Suji and Giheung districts have matured into genuinely affluent suburbs with a real café, restaurant, and bar scene. The expat community here (English teachers, Samsung and SK Hynix-adjacent workers, and international families at the international schools) is substantial enough to have its own social infrastructure. Korean women in Yongin's commercial districts have high exposure to foreigners and the international schools mean English-speaking social context is built into the fabric of the place.
