The city has more everyday urban infrastructure than anywhere else in the province — a Lotte Mall, actual nightlife districts, multiple universities total — and is connected to Seoul by KTX in about an hour. For a foreign man looking to be in Gangwon but have access to real social options, Wonju is the only city in the province that actually delivers.
