Praek Phnov is the northernmost district of Phnom Penh municipality and functions more like a rural Cambodian commune than an urban district — agricultural land, river-dependent livelihoods, villages. The only argument for a foreign man here is radical authenticity: you'd be one of very few Westerners operating in a genuinely traditional Khmer environment, which for the right person with language skills and local contacts is a real experience. Everyone else has no business being here.
