Fuefuki is Yamanashi's major peach and grape production zone with the Isawa Onsen hot spring district running a full ryokan economy. The Isawa Onsen area has enough hotel infrastructure and hospitality workers to create some social movement, and a foreign man using the onsen corridor as a base has more social infrastructure than most inland Yamanashi provides. The fruit harvest season brings agricultural workers and buyers from outside the prefecture. It's a thin angle but in a prefecture with few angles, it's something.
