Ninomiya is a small coastal town on the Sagami Bay with a beach that gets light summer use and a town layout that is mostly residential. The town is famous in Japan as the birthplace setting of the Ninomiya Kinjiro statue archetype (the boy reading while carrying wood) which is found in schoolyards across the country. Beyond that piece of cultural trivia, it has no real social draw for a foreign man. The beach is quieter than Fujisawa and Chigasaki and the town itself is low-key residential.
