Kasamatsu is a tiny town on the Kiso River just south of Gifu City, notable primarily for the Kasamatsu Park cherry blossoms and its role as a commuter town. The Meitetsu Kasamatsu Station gives direct access to Nagoya, which means the women who live here are often plugged into the Nagoya social world. A foreign man who lives here but plays in Nagoya gets the best of both — quiet base, urban opportunity.
