Tachibana
7.3
Lower score (below 6)
Tachibana is a small rural town in the Yame district with agricultural character and some connection to the tea and lacquerware traditions that define southern Fukuoka's craft economy. Population is small and aging, and the community is self-contained in the way small Japanese rural towns tend to be. There's no social infrastructure for outsiders, and the river valley landscape doesn't compensate for the isolation. Yame city proper is a better option if you need to be in this part of Fukuoka.
