The extension of Port Fuad's residential zone without the historic character of the original Canal Company-built town — newer development filling in around the original enclave, same ferry-dependent access from Port Said. Quieter and more spacious than anything on the Port Said side but without Port Fuad's architectural identity or the slight foreigner-familiarity of the older neighborhood. More comfortable than the congested districts across the water, still offers nothing socially.
