PortFuad
8.3
Mid score (6-8)
Port Fuad was purpose-built by the Suez Canal Company in the early 20th century as a European residential enclave and it still shows — low-density, tree-lined streets, and orderly villas that belong to a completely different urban logic than Port Said proper. You reach it by a 5-minute public ferry across the canal entrance, which keeps it functionally separate from the main city. The historical presence of foreign Canal Company employees left a baseline familiarity with outsiders that you don't feel elsewhere in the governorate. There's still no social scene but daily life here is the most livable in greater Port Said.
