Az-Zohur is a newer planned residential district away from Port Said's congested older core — wider streets, more modern housing stock, and noticeably quieter than anywhere near the canal. It's comfortable to live in and that's essentially the whole pitch: for social life you'd still commute to Ash-Sharq's corniche. Middle-class Egyptian family neighborhood in every sense, conservative social norms fully in effect.
