Florida (Valle) is a mid-sized sugarcane municipality south of Palmira with a working-class population and a more relaxed social environment than the departmental capital. The town has functioning plazas, local nightlife, and a community that is straightforwardly friendly to outsiders. Cost of living is significantly lower than Cali. For a foreign man who wants proximity to Cali without Cali's pace and cost, Florida is worth considering.
