Líbano punches above its size for a northern Tolima highland town — it has a real market culture, a UNAD university campus that keeps young people in the area, and a cool-climate main plaza with actual bars and restaurants. The coffee landscape surrounding it is some of the most scenic in the department. Foreigners are rare enough to be genuinely interesting here, and the social atmosphere is more open than the typical small Colombian highland town. Worth a real stay.
