El Cocuy is the gateway to Colombia's most spectacular trekking zone — the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, with permanent glaciers and peaks above 5,000 meters. That adventure tourism identity means a constant flow of Colombian and international trekkers passing through, creating one of the most socially open environments in all of Boyacá.
