Wuxi is an underrated pick between Shanghai and Nanjing — it has real wealth (semiconductor and IoT industries with serious money), an international school system that produces English-speaking locals, and a Taihu Lake lakefront that gives you legitimate date infrastructure. The foreign community is established but small enough that a new face is still noticed. Local women in Wuxi are city-polished without the Shanghai price tag on their time.
