Tsuen Wan has the MTR's Tsuen Wan Line terminus, which makes it more connected to Kowloon than it feels. There are some decent Cantonese seafood restaurants in the area. The Sam Shing Hui market nearby is a local institution. None of this creates social infrastructure for a foreign man, but if you're in HK for work reasons near here, it's liveable.

Tsuen Wan is one of Hong Kong's older New Towns on the western edge of Kowloon — it has good transport links including the MTR, but its identity is firmly working-class residential and industrial. There are some decent local restaurants and the area is liveable, but the social scene is minimal and entirely local. Sam Shing Hui seafood market nearby is worth knowing about. Not a place you'd choose for social strategy.
