Jaguaripe is a small Recôncavo municipality on the lower Jaguaripe River with a fishing and oyster farming economy and some connection to the Baía de Todos os Santos tourism circuit. The coastal Recôncavo culture here is warm and the fishing community social life is more open than dry interior towns. An outsider here is unusual.
